#1 Make her feel special

Make her feel special. Pursue her. Call her. Don't wait for her to call you.

Be a man with a plan. Think about something you would both enjoy doing and suggest it. If you ask her to come up with plans, you won't wow her. She'll wonder how you would handle making decisions in a family.

Pick her up. Open the car door for her.

Take her out and pay for her. Asking her to split the bill is not the way to show you believe in gender equality. Paying for her makes her special.

If you go overboard and spend too much, she may not respond as you expect. Women most want to be respected and listened to.  If you want to wow her, take her somewhere pleasant and quiet, like a little neighborhood restaurant, and ask her about herself, her hopes and dreams, her friends, her family.  Women are all about oxytocin, the connection hormone.  Show her you are respectful, interested in her, and open to connect with her.  She’ll be wowed.

A lot of the first date is about distinguishing yourself from others and helping them feel comfortable around you. One crucial way of doing that and making you stand out from other dates is taking into consideration where your date lives. Picking a place near your date not only makes it easier for your date to meet you, but also helps them feel more comfortable. This little step can go a long way in getting you to a second date.

#4 Avoid the interview

The most boring dates are like interviews. Try to spend parts of your date focusing on anything other than each other. Don’t ask personal questions or talk about yourself, focus on the environment you’re in, you can even just talking about dating! Spend some time having the types of conversation close intimate friends have and you’ll end up having much more fun on you date, and standing out from other first dates.

#5 Let her find out your qualities on her own

Too many men try to wow girls by bragging about themselves or by trying to prove themselves. But by doing so, they trigger they get the girls to see them as insecure and low value guys. And thus, they trigger the opposite feelings of those they wanted to trigger in the first place. When a guy does this, he doesn’t look as a fully achieved man. A charismatic and confident man doesn’t brag about himself. He doesn’t need to prove himself.

When you don’t brag about yourself, you’re actually impressive. And you’re even more impressive when you let the girl find out on her own your impressive qualities (or attractive lifestyle), without telling her about them (or at least without telling her right away). When she finds this out by herself, she realizes that you’re different from all those insecure guys who would have rushed to tell her about it. She realizes that you don’t try at all to wow her. And that’s impressive. She feels that there might be many other interesting things to find out about you.

Bringing your date a bouquet of flowers symbolizes your appreciation for her time. Whether your date likes flowers or not, she will appreciate the thought. Flowers are the best way to keep your potential SO thinking about you long past your first meet up.

#8 Express your interest

No one has time to play games with their emotions. If you enjoyed your date, let her know. Make plans at the end of the night for a second date. You will be able to gage her interest fairly quickly but regardless of how she is feeling about you, she will appreciate you trying to spare her emotions.

#9 Pay attention during your conversation

The absolutely BEST way to wow the boopsie of your dreams on your first date is to pay attention during your conversation. Ask questions to find out what she really likes, and do that. Does she love adventurous food? Suggest a new restaurant. Love to be outdoors? Grab some amazing nibbles from Fresh Market, and put on a picnic.

Travel? A day trip (no more than 30 minutes) to a nearby area to explore. Photography? Take a micro tour of your own town, trying to find the most amazing close-up shots, and compare. It’s that easy, and it sets you apart from a million and one coffee meets, dinner-and-a-movie, and just plain old boring “dates” she’s either been on, or will go on after you (if you don’t wow her, of course).

The key is to do something different for HER sake, not just to be different. Make it something she’ll enjoy, and she’ll appreciate your thoughtfulness and creativity. Also, doing something awesome like this can fit any budget from thrifty to high-falutin’.

#11 Make Reservations

As obvious as it seems, make reservations. Many people assume they can just walk into a restaurant, but there is nothing more tedious and than waiting on a line. And you and your date can get cranky from hunger as many HOT restaurants can take an hour or more. It always pays to go where they know you, so try to go to a place where you’ve been before. Or if its a first time, call and let them know you’d like a romantic table. Most restaurants will be happy to comply as they want your repeat business. Ask who will be working, so you can greet the host by name.
