Crime Zero By Michael Cordy – A Thriller For The Thinker

This thriller has an unlikely story but a huge question embedded in it. The action is fast-paced and easy to read, the characters are drawn with a certain compassion, and are believable, and the very unbelievability of the storyline makes it all the more horrific.

But above all, this book has a message and makes you think. And the twists and turns of the plot continue till the very last sentence.

First published in 1999, the background is the escalating violence in our society, especially in the United States. The action takes place in the year 2008. The war on Iraq and the part America played is one part of the global plot. But attempting to use gene therapy to control violent behaviour in men gives rise to some interesting questions to take away after the last page has been closed.

I can recommend this book for the thinking person. It’s a good read but you may not want to think too long!
