Moreover, people are paying above the asking price and seeing the houses before the listing even goes up—these circumstances don’t seem to be changing any time soon. Why? Mortgage rates are at an all-time low. So, individuals can sell their houses very easily, but buying things is challenging.

Online Shopping

Many industries had to switch to an online platform when the pandemic started—the same is true for the real estate market. Sites like Zillow are still booming in popularity, and things don’t seem to be slowing down. Individuals are taking virtual tours and even making offers online because of how easy it is.

Interesting Home Features

Another housing trend that will remain post-pandemic is interesting home features. Buyers will be looking for things like entertainment rooms and stellar kitchens more so than ever before. The main reason for this is because we were stuck inside for so long. Therefore, buyers are looking for features that’ll keep them entertained in case we’re ever on lockdown again. Outdoor spaces are also more important than ever.
