War and Peace – Leo Tolstoy (4/9)

All anyone knows about this book is that it’s really, really long. War and Peace will change the way you think about history. Tolstoy asks difficult questions about history such as how did the French revolution take place? And then gives you the intricate answer, which is more complex and mind-blowing than you can possibly imagine. A good translation goes a long way, for as long as you have a good translation Tolstoy is easy to read.
