Star Wars Knight of the Old Republic

This product was recommended by Tim Connon from ParamountQuote Insurance Advisors

This classic game has now been ported over to the Nintendo switch and is an absolute must-play for any gamer. The story of this game is so deep and makes it an instant classic! Check it out!

Super Mario Party

This product was recommended by Megan Moore from Photography-Lighting

Super Mario Party is brilliant because it encourages a large gameplay session with your friends and family – the perfect bonding time! It is like a board game on a console, which truly gives you the best of both worlds on game night. I also love that this game can be used for playing specific mini-games that you enjoy, as well as playing the long game where you chase each other around the board. This means that you get to decide how much time you invest in playing on the Switch.

Minecraft

This product was recommended by Steven Walker from Spylix

A portable, buildable joy on Switch. To play with a friend on the local network, put one of their Joy-Cons on your Switch, press +, and pass it back to them. If you don’t want to go exploring alone, you can play online or try one of its mini-games: Battle (PvP), Tumble (a race with shovels or snowballs), or Glide (get to the end of the course asap). The abundance of achievements makes for fun guided play, but you never feel like you’ve beaten Minecraft even if you’ve played for tens of hours.

Splatoon 2

This product was recommended by Steven Walker from Spylix

Splatoon 2 is a great Switch game & you and your fellow inklings (half-squid, half-human) must work together to paint most of the map in your team’s color. It’s easy to pick up and play, and while it’s a sequel, it’s still a unique twist on the typical shooter. Salmon Rush, a new Horde-like game that is dangerously addictive and devilishly challenging on the highest levels, is also included.

Bloodstained

This product was recommended by Steven Walker from Spylix

Ritual of the Night: A monster castle and a lone hero sound familiar? Koji Igarashi, the man behind many beloved Castlevania games, designed Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. Like Symphony of the Night, Aria of Sorrow, and Order of Ecclesia, Bloodstained is a great Castlevania game. This is the game for you if you want a new, fun Castlevania-like game before Lords of Shadow relaunched the franchise and Mirror of Fate failed to capture any of its shine.

Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

This product was recommended by Rodney Riley from Online Soil

Breath of the Wild is the kind of game which only comes along once a decade or so. It is the defacto number 1 open world RPG / puzzle Switch game. Featuring a compelling story which you can follow at your own pace, a vast world to explore and more hidden puzzles and subplots than you could ever reasonably have the time to discover it is truly epic. BoW is listed by Edge magazine as the greatest game of all time and one of a handful of games Edge has awarded 10/10.

Super Mario Odyssey

This product was recommended by Madilyn Hill from TruePersonFinder Inc.

This challenging Super Mario odyssey game is packed with secrets and surprises. Use captured fellows and uncover loads of hidden collectibles. Explore exciting 3-D kingdoms, visit fascinating new locales, and run into friends and enemies to save princesses from bowser clutches. Cappy is Mario’s new friend lets you master new moves such as cap throw, capture, and cap jump. In this multiplayer game, player one handles Mario while Player 2 handles Cappy.

Monster Hunter Rise

This product was recommended by Michael Baldicaña from Stayyy

Monster Hunter Rise has received an overwhelmingly positive reception from both critics and players alike. Monster Hunter Rise is a game that takes place in a fictional world where humans and monsters coexist. The player starts off as a rookie hunter and will attempt to slay monsters, collect materials, and craft gear to become stronger. Monster Hunter Rise is an action-adventure role-playing game which revolves around hunting monsters. It was praised for its unique gameplay and engaging story, which was also one of the reasons it became so popular.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land

This product was recommended by Maria Saenz from FastTitleLoans

Join the amazing journey of Kirby and explore the mysterious world with abandoned structures. Kirby is a 3D platform adventure game with thrilling gameplay. Copy opponent’s ability like ranger and new drill, with the help of new power attack and save the kidnapped waddle dees from the beast. By using mouthful mode inhale real-world objects and convert them. Enjoy the forgotten world with your friends and family to control the bandana waddle world and help each other. Explore in 3D stages and fight through the colorful world.

Pokémon Legends Arceus

This product was recommended by Barney Hague-Wright from Repeat Digital

Pokémon Legends Arceus is a must-have for Pokémon fans of any age. PLA was the game that finally dared to defy convention on what a mainline Pokémon game should look and feel like and it’s a gamble that paid off. No longer do we have the top-down, linear perspective of previous iterations, with PLA, Nintendo has Zelda-fied Pokémon into an open-world adventure with crafting, collectables and jaw-dropping visuals. The numbers speak for themselves, PLA was the best selling game of January 2022 despite only being out for three days. The most notable change between Legends Arceus and Sword & Shield is how you interact with and catch wild Pokémon. Tables have been turned, the long grass has turned from your worst enemy into your greatest ally as you find yourself hiding from angry wild Pokémon. It’s also accessible for younger and older audiences alike, with a relatively smooth learning curve but in order to fully complete the game, you’re going to need to grind a bit finding every last Pokémon and collectable.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses

This product was recommended by Barney Hague-Wright from Repeat Digital

Possibly my favourite Switch game, the level of detail within Fire Emblem: Three Houses keeps you coming back for more. With rich storylines, great voice acting and 4 different possible endings, there’s no way you can complete this game just once and with its 80+ hour story, you won’t be running out of fun any time soon. If you’re into your RTS and RPG games, meet your new best friend.

Slay The Spire

This product was recommended by Barney Hague-Wright from Repeat Digital

Slay The Spire defines the phrase “cheap and cheerful”. It’s like Diablo & Yugioh had a baby together, an affordable, addictive baby. Typically retailing at half the price of a usual Switch Game, Slay the Spire is wonderful fun with a tonne of replay value as you’re charged with “slaying the spire” with a range of unique characters with their own respective deck. Each character and subsequent deck has a range of abilities and limitations, working out the best strategy for each character is the biggest challenge but the satisfaction once you’ve done it is oh so sweet.

Civilization VI

This product was recommended by Barney Hague-Wright from Repeat Digital

The Civilization series is one that needs no introduction, it’s been a staple of AAA PC strategy games for years and its most recent port to the Nintendo Switch is no exception. Fans of the series can expect everything they’ve come to love and expect from Sid Meier’s masterpiece. Though the Switch version does have to compromise something in speed in exchange for portability when compared to the PC version, it’s a deal worth doing to be able to play this on the go.

Cities Skylines: Nintendo Switch Edition

This product was recommended by Barney Hague-Wright from Repeat Digital

When Cities Skylines was released it did to Sim City what SKATE did to the Tony Hawk games. It’s revolutionised the city builder genre and kicked its competitors to the dirt. In Cities Skylines you’re challenged with building, maintaining and growing your very own city whilst trying to keep on top of a myriad of issues including transport, employment, utilities and more. An addictive and fun game that will keep you enthralled for hours.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

This product was recommended by Barney Hague-Wright from Repeat Digital

The pinnacle of motorsport, no not Formula One, Mario Kart 8! Everyone’s favourite kart racer is back with a vengeance on the Nintendo Switch. This iteration is bigger than ever before with a range of new tracks and old fan favourites included with the game, not to mention many more are available through DLC. It’s easy to pick up and fun to master, probably one of the best multiplayer games available on the Switch today.

Metroid Dread

This product was recommended by Stella Cooper from PaydayLoansUK

Enjoy the first new 2d Metroid story. Join Samus, the strongest warrior and a skilled bounty hunter who has defeated multiple galactic threats. Explore planet ZDR’s many environments through a mysterious transmission. This game includes deadly Emmi robots and research machines. Evade these and escape while finding a way to take them down. Planet ZDR’s sprawling map is home to many secrets. Discover the powers, Counter enemies, slide through tight spaces, battle your way and return to previous areas to find a new path.

Animal Crossing

This product was recommended by Nikita Verma from PurpleCrest Management Consulting

Animal Crossing: New Horizons has become a cultural phenomenon, there’s a reason why. It’s less a game and more of an escape from the everyday horrors of existence, it jets you off to your own personal island paradise to explore, create, customize and simply chill the heck out. Whether you want to indulge in bug hunting, chatting with villagers, planting trees, or searching for uber-cool clothing for your villager or neat household items, there’s always something to discover, not to mention those constant special rewards and the feelings as your island getaway grows and evolves. It’s absolutely one of the best Nintendo Switch Lite games to play for fun when you need to unwind. Highly recommended.

LEGO Star Wars

This product was recommended by Jason Cordes from CocoLoan

If you are looking to switch games, Lego Star Wars is one of the best options. The game is full of adventures, and the story revolves around the galaxy. You can play all nine saga films making you engage for hours.

Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion

This product was recommended by Thalita Ferraz from Her Bones

This game is so cute and surprisingly detailed, with adorable characters and interesting gameplay – I bought it for the quirky title, but I recommend it to all of my friends.

Triangle Strategy

This product was recommended by Rainie Johnson from N/A

Though it’s not the sexiest JRPG on Switch, the recently released Triangle Strategy features incredibly tight and enjoyable strategic turn based combat, but more importantly, a very unique and interesting narrative format. Its narrative sequences are a bit lengthy, verging on visual novel-esque, but they pay off in featuring a mature, subdued, and oddly realistic representation of a standard fantastical world at war. These sequences culminate in allowing the player to make massively consequential decisions from the position of a young, but powerful lord and much like the gravity of the narrative, it does not allow for many easy decisions. Almost all are morally grey and require some sacrifice. It’s this moral ambiguity and mature narrative that make the game standout among other JRPGs featuring fantastical, feudal narratives.

Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1+2

This product was recommended by Haley from Fernweh Foreigner

Tony Hawk used to be one of my favorite games to play on xbox when I was younger. I was in need of a switch game that would keep me busy on some long travel days and this switch version is the best. It’s just like the old Tony Hawk game and it comes with two games in one. It’s one of those games that you can just spend hours on not doing much but having lots of fun.

New Pokémon Snap

This product was recommended by Bianca Trembly from The Best Calgary

The original Pokémon Snap was an utterly unique game when it first came out, and the New Pokémon Snap brings that spirit back. Instead of capturing Pokémon and making them battle, this game puts you on a leisurely automated stroll, taking photos of Pokémon as you encounter them in their natural habitat. It’s a chill game, although Professor Mirror really has a lot to learn about good composition.
