On your quest for self-love, learn to accept compliments on your physical features that others love but you might not. Just keep reminding yourself that if others love some specific features of yours, then you can too, right? A great way to try and practice self-love is to repeat positive affirmations to yourself and/or work with a self-love workbook. This will help to remind you of what to be grateful for and to reflect upon yourself in a positive light.

#2 Find Brands that Embody Body Positivity

It can be hard to feel body positive when it seems like every store caters to a certain kind of body type. When you’re “too tall”, “too big boned”, or have “too big of boobs”, it can feel discouraging to even think about stepping into a mall. Whenever you’re feeling down about yourself, try to think about brands that are all about self-love, empowerment, and positivity. Brands such as Dove, ASOS, True & Co., and Always do just that.

Each and every one of these brands are all about being comfortable with who you are. Fashion brands like ASOS and True & Co., create products for women that cater to all different kinds of body shapes. ASOS has a whole section dedicated to plus and curvy shapes while True & Co., makes amazing bra’s that cater up to 38DDD and 40DD. They even have a special kind of fabric that makes you feel like you’re wearing nothing at all!

Buying clothing and/or products embodied with a positive message can significantly help to make you feel like your best self. That perfect fit can help give you the boost of body confidence you need to conquer the day.

#3 Do More for Yourself

On top of wearing clothes that make you feel good, one of the bigger things everyone needs to do on their journey is to do more for themselves. Deciding that you need to do things for yourself can make a world of a difference. It doesn’t necessarily have to be a spa or pamper day, but even just taking the time in a day to relax, reflect, and just slow down will be enough. It’s important to realize that it’s okay to be selfish sometimes because it only means that you value your overall well-being!

These are only just a few tips, if you’re interested in reading even more, women empowerment site, When Women Inspire, wrote a great and helpful article on finding inner body confidence.

Self-love isn’t a final destination but rather something that you can continue to work on and grow every day, so even these small steps can make all the difference. Whether it’s writing in a self-love workbook, buying from brands that make you feel good about yourself, or simply doing more kinds acts for yourself, doing a little bit each day will help you to love you for who you are.
