Not only is doing your own natural recipes good for your health, but it’s good for your wallet. Use microfiber towels instead of paper towels or use wipes. If you like the Magic Eraser you should try melamine sponge. It’s basically the same thing, but much less expensive. Dishwasher acting up or smells terrible? No need to call a plumber. Many times its hard water. Place a few cups of white vinegar in a glass bowl on the top rack and start a regular cycle. You’ll be amazed at what vinegar can do!
General advice: don’t hang on to items which are beyond repair or cleaning. If you haven’t used it in a year, and if it has no speciality use – chuck it. You’ll be doing yourself a favor in more ways than one.
More general, rule-of-thumb advice: it is so annoying to hear, but it is a timeless truth. Cleaning naturally becomes a lot easier when there is less to clean. In other words, designate a time for each activity. Split things up into daily or semi-daily, weekly, monthly, etc. And you will find that your house is in much better order on a regular basis. And it also means that when it does come time to clean, there is a lot less to handle. It is all about proper dispersion of your time. Like many other proper habits, it takes effort, but is well worth it.
