We recently just hired a new marketing coordinator that did not have a lot of marketing knowledge right off the bat but had the drive to learn. I recommended she read The New Rules of Marketing by David Meerman Scott. This book is great because it puts into perspective how marketing has changed in recent years and what you should be concentrating on now. After finishing this book our coordinator came back with some great ideas on what we can do on different platforms to get our company in front of new customers, as well as maintain our current ones.
