With its distinct and somewhat unpredicted upbeat and cheery guitar strumming welcoming you to the track, ‘The Judge’ revels in standing out from what might make a typical Twenty One Pilots. The song progression, Tyler’s on point rapping and the consistent happy-seeming nature of the piece make for a refreshing and original sound to the Blurryface album.

Although it still betrays deep hints about the nature of faith and salvation, there’s plenty in this song that might remind you of something someone like Jason Mraz might have composed.
