What is and isn’t Working for the Alcoholic by Alberta Sequeira (12/54)

I’m the author and after losing my husband and daughter from their alcohol and drug addiction, I had 34 contributors (alcoholics, drug, and prescription users) tell their stories with how they recovered, how, and advise to doctors, counselors, and family members.

I’m recommending the book because of the contributors will motivate, not only other addicts but family members on how we innocently enable our loved ones to pull them deeper into their habit. Addicts sharing their experience, strength, and hope with others is something that only a recovering addict or alcoholic can do. It is a unique gift.

This is a book to get into the mindset to learn what the addicted needs to want the desire to reach out for recovery. Two women in the book started at young ages; one was five and the other was seven. It goes to show our children are not too young to get motivated.
