Wilson’s Bird-of-Paradise (2/10)

Only recorded for the first time in 1996 by the legendary Sir David Attenborough, the features of this bird are quite simply remarkable. Featuring a blue crown, green breast, some of the most striking plumage in the animal kingdom, its moustache-liked twirled tail feathers make it look like it has come straight out of a fantasy. It is found only on two of the most remote islands in the world, located deep in the heart of Indonesian Papa New Guinea.
