#4 Landing Page Optimization by Tim Ash, Maura Ginty and Rich Page
Landing Page Optimization by Tim Ash provided me the framework I needed to design my website. There are a lot of different objectives one may have with their design. Tim does an incredible job of breaking down what to exactly to measure, how design impacts it, and the best practices one needs to enhance their design.

#5 Professional Web Design: The Best of Smashing Magazine
This is a good one since it is full of examples, good practices, and resources. It is great to read it when you see nothing but mist in your early years and great to consult too once your career has launched.
