#1 Great Wolf Lodge

No Title

No Description

We traveled from Northern California to stay at the Great Wolf Lodge, with our children ages 4 and 7. The lodge is perfect for families complete with an amazing indoor waterpark, affordable restaurants, and amazing kid's camp-style activities. Our children laughed and played for three straight days without ever saying I'm bored. The customer service was excellent and the hotel served as a great base camp for our other outings while we were in southern California.

We love it because the suites have enough space for families, and the hotel is a stone’s throw from the amusement park at Santa Monica Pier and a 5-minute walk from the beach and has a courtyard swimming pool. For older children, the free weekend surf lessons are great fun; beach cruiser bikes are available for exploring the neighborhood too (standard size only).

#9 The Beverly Laurel Motor Inn

No Title

No Description

We loved our recent stay at the Beverly Laurel Motor Inn, a reasonably priced retro slice of 1950’s Hollywood glamour located in a fabulous location.

Although it has a retro style, the hotel is thoroughly modern with freshly decorated rooms and a great sized bathroom. The rooms were for a family of four. The facility our family loved the most, however, was the great swimming pool located in the central courtyard of the hotel. It was great to relax in after our sightseeing and enjoy the LA vibe.

The location was super convenient, within walking distance to the Grove shopping mall and only a short drive to the other highlights of LA. Right next door to the hotel is a diner, serving great food 24 hours a day.
