It Takes Two

This product was recommended by Rengie Wisper from Indoor Champ

When it comes to the best 2 player Ps4 games, it should be just all about teamwork. And this is exactly what It Takes Two will cater to you and your buddy. But here’s the catch, before playing this game, you need to make sure that you’re playing to someone who gets you. You’ll be playing Cody and May here who’s married lives are on the brink. But it was saved as they went on the adventure together in the game. What’s awesome is though it’s a 2 player game, you’ll only need one copy of the game to play with a friend online or locally.

A Way Out

This product was recommended by Patrick Sinclair from All Home Robotics

Another narrative co-op game that has you play as men who were wrongly imprisoned, and who now plot to escape and get their revenge on those who wronged them. There are very strong narrative elements, as well as stealth sections and puzzles to solve, all of which must be done as a team to succeed. I highly recommend it.

Diablo III Eternal Collection

This product was recommended by Shaun Savage from Try Hard Guides

One of my favorite PS4 games for 2 players is Diablo 3. While it had a shaky release on PC, it came to the console fully formed and lends itself incredibly well for local co-op and multiplayer play. Grab your friend, choose a class, and head into a land where demons run wild. It’s your job to save the world against overwhelming odds, and you will be able to do it with a variety of abilities that you earn and items that you can discover. The game can be played more casually, but you can also up the difficulty to give yourself a challenge!

Knack 2

This product was recommended by Billy Chan from Drone Last

Although it was released in 2017, Knack 2 is still my favourite 2-player split-screen action game because it’s easy to play, features intriguing combat and tells a simple but interesting story. It also gives me a retro arcade game feel. The special feature that makes Knack 2 stand out is that you can shrink your characters to get to tricky places and solve puzzles. What makes it even more fun with 2 players is the fact that you have to shrink and enlarge in pairs to achieve the same goal. It is so much fun to try different ways to solve the same puzzle. It is now available on Amazon for less than $20. It is definitely a must-have if you are a fan of 2 player action games.

Rocket League

This product was recommended by Demi Yilmaz from Colonist

Rocket League combines the best of both worlds to give you an adrenaline pumping, immensely competitive and highly fun game. The goal is simple, use a rocket-powered car to chase a ball into the opponents net — basically the most epic version of football you’ll ever play. The graphics are stunning, the gameplay is immersive and you have the option of either pairing up with the second player and compete against another team or simply compete against one another.

Soulcalibur VI

This product was recommended by Shoaib Raza from Crazy Bings

SoulCalibur VI is one of the finest fighting games we’ve played in a long time. With its well-designed weapons-based fighting system and an assortment of fantastic guest characters, it doesn’t feel like SoulCalibur has aged a day. SoulCalibur VI, the latest iteration, streamlined things considerably with the new addition of Reversal Edge; further, with slick guest characters like 2B and Geralt of Rivia, SoulCalibur VI boasts one of the largest and most diverse rosters in any current fighting game on the PS4 for 2 Players.

Borderlands 3

This product was recommended by Shoaib Raza from Crazy Bings

Borderlands 3 now features the ultra-popular split-screen. The fun is now absolutely multipliable as you can have local coop up to two-three or four players, which is sure to bang up a ton of hours! And only on the PlayStation 4, you can play it in a beautiful 4K resolution at 60 fps which is going to absolutely sloth some eyeballs once they see what this game looks like on those hardware upgrades!

Call of Duty Black Ops III

This product was recommended by Nicolas Holand from GooseSmurfs

This has been an all time favorite two player PS4 game. It has been widely played by gamers around the world, this is not your typical war game as it has nice visuals and advanced items, thus, adding this on the list is a must.
